How to read the minds of the students to check their concept understanding on daily basis?

I must have asked this question to almost more than 1000+ principals, teachers, and parents in various meetings and interviews. 100% of them said, “It’s impossible to check the understanding of every student after each class.” This is the core issue that ultimately creates lots of stress on the students when they go to a higher standards where it’s expected to know the previous class concepts. Over the period, this issue becomes complex and student stops learning.

We have ~300Mn+ students in our education system in K-12 & Higher Education and ~60%+ are not employable because they don’t have the basic skill set which is required by the industry.

In the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) which is a fusion of advances in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), genetic engineering, quantum computing, and many more, learning is a constant endeavor and to be relevant to this industrial revolution our student’s concepts should be clear which will only happen if we help our students to understands the basics of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics).

Schools, Colleges, and Universities should use EdTech software that provides personalized reports to all the stakeholders of the education system like students, teachers, parents, and trustees so they take all proactive measures at the appropriate stage of learning which helps students to understand the specific subject-chapter-topic concepts. Also, we need to provide personalized content (reading & video) for specific subject-chapter-topic so the student is able to revise the topic at her convenience. After learning is done, we need to take the assessment of individual topics to check the understanding of the individual student. After the assessment is done, prepare a scientific learning plan to bridge the gap and again take the assessment to complete the learning cycle.

All this is achievable through technology and the involvement of all the stakeholders. Let’s remove the mystery from the education system and adopt a data-based approach to strengthen the knowledge of every teacher and student.
